Nestor+Gaffney Architecture LLP (NGA) was formed in May of 1999. After a long association as Partners of the firm of McLarand, Vasquez & Partners, Ron Nestor AIA and Steve Gaffney AIA left to pursue their own professional interests and objectives. Under their collective experience with MV&P, totaling 26 years, they successfully led the design and production teams of the 100-person firm in a wide variety of award-winning projects. Since the founding of NGA, their portfolio of major projects continues to grow and expand, including the creation of two subsidiary companies: NGA Nevada LLC and NGA Hawaii LLP.

As Director of Design and Director of Architecture the two served in key "hands-on" roles on some of the most significant projects in the region. They continue to advance a determined "hands-on" approach, incorporating extensive team participation experiences, to establish design direction and implementation in a logical and timely fashion. Their work is widely known and recognized in the construction industry as exemplary.

A key departure point for NGA is their philosophy, which is based on SERVICE. They believe in strong Principal commitment to each project and the number of projects that the firm will undertake will be limited to that which can be realistically serviced.

Architecture and construction is more than meetings and numbers - it is the sum of the aspirations of numerous participants of a wide variety of backgrounds and experiences that, together, can create winning compositions for both the balance sheet and the design awards. Further, they take the responsibility seriously that people build their lives in the environments that we create.

The Team is the essential building block of the project. Cooperation, coordination, and mutual respect and trust are the key components for success of the team. We believe that "pride of ownership" is important for everyone involved in the team.
