Telscape Communications offers an "alternativa" to the local phone company. The CLEC (competitive local-exchange carrier) provides consumer telecommunications services primarily to the Hispanic population of Southern California. The company offers budget-oriented local and long-distance phone services and Internet access, as well as wireless services under the Express and SimpleFlex brands.
